    Fifth grade girls

Before Christmas, the fifth grade girls from our Wednesday night program, Club 15, had a chance to write letters to a lady in prison. They understood she had committed a crime and wanted to encourage her. This is the response from Tracy.

"To all the girls who sent such beautiful cards to me this Christmas! I cannot thank you all enough! What a joy you brought to my heart. I have never experienced such love in my entire life. When I opened the envelope my whole world changed ... Thank you so very much for your kindness and your power as his children. Yesterday when I received those cards-how can I explain this-my spirit was lifted higher than every before. I know in my heart that I will never have to feel alone again this world...Not only did I appreciate the cards and prayers but I shared them with the 22 ladies in DUI class. They are having such a rotten time. A few really cried. I told them to just believe. I hope they can find it in their hearts to at least try."

What did the girls write? Just what they knew to be true. They told her Jesus loves her and forgives her.
