    A Good Song for the Heart

    Sunday will mark the second message dealing with the sensitive subject of hell. I've been very pleased with the response I've gotten on this series, Of Heaven and Hell. It seems that the Lord has been pleased to stretch and challenge many regarding matters of eternity. This Sunday I'm doing a talk called, "Hell: For Real?" from the same passage in Luke that we dealt with last week. I believe that the Lord will be pleased to use this to draw people into relationship with Himself. My heart and mind go to the fourth stanza of the hymn that was written more than two centuries ago, "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing." Here's the stanza:

    O to grace how great a debtor
    Daily I'm constrained to be!
    Let Thy goodness, like a fetter,
    Bind my wandering heart to Thee.
    Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
    Prone to leave the God I love;
    Here's my heart, O take and seal it,
    Seal it for Thy courts above.

    That's a good song. That's a good song for my heart.

    Much love to you, Central Wesleyan. May this be an exceptional week followed by a blessed Sunday!

    Pastor Paul
