I am so blessed and inspired by your messages in this series, in the past year and the past 23 years. My life has not been what one often refers to as the American Dream. 20 years ago I walked through the hurt of a divorce and became a single mom. The views back then where quite different. I did heal a great deal through the initial divorce recovery groups.
Holding on to the belief that God would provide was my greatest support during those times. Those years can be quite challenging when you're a mother raising 2 boys on your own!
In one of the messages this past Fall, you spoke about faith. I truly feel grounded in my faith now. My life is much more stable, I have found how the Lord would have me serve others and my sons are now grown adults with great lives in which they demonstrate their faith.
I am so grateful for this "Shadows in the Darkness" series; I am bringing this series of messages and outreach to the attention of our Systems Change Committee at the Center for Women in Transition. Through this series of messages I truly do believe it reaches many victims and could empower them to become true survivors of the sins that were committed against them. I believe that this is a great change in the outreach to the community.
I felt that I needed to communicate my thanks to Central Wesleyan Church, so thank you!
