Just before Thanksgiving, CWC completed the fall 10-week session of Hope for the Single Again (H4SA). As we have experienced in the past, God really moved and worked in people’s hearts and brought about healing that only He can bring!

We welcomed people who are all in different stages of the grieving and healing process as a result of a long-term relationship break-up, marital separation or divorce. Most are a bit apprehensive and afraid to come to something like this where they feel vulnerable. However, God’s grace gives them the courage to come, and they are always glad they came. The ministry team works diligently to foster an environment that is safe and promotes healing of the heart.

Children are also very affected by divorce or break-up. As a support to them, we also sponsor a children’s ministry called Confident Kids. This program focuses on healing for children and teaches them that divorce is not their fault. The class is offered at the same time as H4SA and is for children between the ages of 6 and 12. Nursery for children 5 and under is also available.

We’d like to share with you feedback we received this fall from some of the
participants in the class:

I have moved well into forgiving my former spouse and feel a great sense of peace. I no longer feel constant upset and turmoil.

Thanks for ministering to a population that seems to be “forgotten or looked down upon” in many congregations.

Thank you so much for having a kids component along with this (class). My daughter so looked forward to coming every week.

What a wonderful ministry. There is so much pain and healing with this process. I wish there were more groups for people...
