I write this with such a grateful heart I can hardly find words meaningful enough to thank you!
On October 8, we had a special event for high school students at e759. It was called “The Wedding Feast of the Lamb.” We got the idea from Revelation 19. This Scripture paints a picture of the final supper, when we will all sit down with Christ as His bride. Upon reading this I felt a very clear direction from God that he wanted the church family to serve our students a meal that would drive home that very point.
Of course, then it came down to the execution of the idea. How in the world were we going to feed a full meal to 170 students? I must admit my faith was challenged! I didn’t think it could be done, and I doubted God! We asked a few classes, the choir and some other individuals if they’d be willing to donate a dish. We still had no idea how much food would actually arrive, and were we in for a surprise!
That night at about 6:30 p.m., we had hundreds of dishes that kept pouring in. It was absolutely incredible! Praise be to Him who is coming again and always delivers on His promises. We are so thankful to the people who gave in great abundance!
Because of your gifts and God’s grace, 11 students made reservations at the true wedding feast of the Lamb. So many students were encouraged in their faith, and the family of God came together to give Christ glory! Thanks so much to the CWC family; I love being a part of this great church! I hope you have made your reservation at the table!
Pastor Kujo
Let us rejoice and be glad
and give him glory!
For the wedding of the Lamb has come,
and his bride has made herself ready.
Fine linen, bright and clean,
was given her to wear. (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of the saints.) Then the angel said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!’"
—Revelation 19:7–9
