Apologies & Update

Central Wesleyan Church would like to apologize to their blog readers for the lack of updates of what God is doing around Central.

There are a lot of things that God has been up to since our last update. The hard part is capturing those stories and getting them up on this blog.

For example:

• 36 people were baptized in our Southwest pond on the night of August 17!
• All of our open positions have been filled both in Student Ministries and Worship Arts!
  
• Many individuals have come to Christ this year!
  
• We are making many inroads into our Half Mile Community. One of which was Last night...
  

Block Party
Last night 480 hot dogs were served to over 400 people at the Neighborhood Block Party.

It was a great night of fun with kids games including a dunk tank and face painting. We were blessed by 2 great musical groups as well as a mobile "Sunday School" from Res. Life. The police, fire dept., Holland Hospital, and Chemical Bank were on hand to interact as well as volunteers from Target.

Over 30 CWC volunteers were also blessed through serving last night as they served and cooked food, led games, and interacted with our neighbors. It was another great example of churches working together for the kingdom.
