It was a great Saturday morning with Breakfast with Baby! We doubled our size this month with 15 families who attended. Our team of awesome volunteers, greeted and registered guests, helped cook and serve breakfast, held many babies and engaged in conversations, escorted moms to our donation store, checked out baby items. Families went home with a pack of diapers, wipes, a new baby outfit, a used baby outfit, one item of bedding and a new toy or book. Some requests are coming for highchairs, strollers and cribs which we will happily give if we have them available. The name of Jesus is always proclaimed and a fresh invitation for prayer is always offered.
Three of these families attended Central for the first time Sunday and one went to LaRoca. A young pregnant gal from Family Hope Ministries got a ride to church with one of our volunteers and got plugged into the YAdults class with Steve and Nancy Smith. Karla, a young hispanic woman came with her daughter to first service and as she was leaving ran into Addy who is on the B w/ Baby team. Addy showed her around and got the little girl into an elementary Sunday school class...then Karla went back to second service with Addy!!! Ha! She had never been to church before:) An African American family also came to Central for the first time and stopped at the guest reception. Yippeee for multicultural Jesus!

Turning the face of the church outward, giving its resources away, blessing the community, unleashing the gifts of people to serve -- this is what our living God desires for his church.
