Home maker to a working Mom

I had been a stay home Mom for nearly 9 years. I had pursued the option of returning to the work force for about two years. I had prayed about finding a job, that would be ideal working hours, for my family to benefit from. I said to God, "Lord, I think I know what is best for me, but I know, that you know what is best for me. I prayed that he would open the doors that needed to be opened and to close the doors that needed to be closed. I wanted to be where He wanted me to be.

I had applied at a local grocery store, the following day, I was called for an interview for two possible job positions. The interview went well ,but the jobs both required hours that would not be favorable for my family. I was honest with the person, that I was not looking for those types of hours. I thought to myself, even the pay was less than what one of our older sons makes, working for a local pizza place!

During the interview, the person had something to share with me about the knowledge they had about a job, else where. They felt that I would be interested and qualified for the position. They suggested that once I would leave there, that I should go and apply at this place. I left there with, what I felt was a God moment. I felt and believed that God had orchestrated this whole thing and that He used this person as an instrument to lead me to this other job. I also felt the enemy trying to place doubt in my mind!

I inquired about the job position, by telephone. They wanted me to come in for an interview the following day. The interview went very well, that they wanted me to come meet with the President later in the week. I hadn't arrived home yet, when they called and left a message that they wanted me to come meet the President that same afternoon!

I was offered the job position and they were flexible on my start date until school started 3 weeks later. I didn't have to start work and then have to figure out a sitter for that time frame. What a blessing! That's not all...the hours are part time (20 hours a week) and flexible, in the event I wanted to be at our son's school for a special event, or just wanted to have lunch with him. The people are wonderful to work with and then God topped the whole thing, with adding the icing to the cake... the pay was more than twice as much as the jobs that were unfavorable!!

I believe there is a purpose for myself being at this place and I pray that the Holy Spirit fills me and guides me, to fulfill that purpose!!

God has answered the desires of my heart and in doing so, He has also met the needs of our family!
