Faith and Blessings

Greetings from Gulf port Mississippi:

Life in this Hurricane ravaged area is very much improved. Jobs have returned, utilities have been restored to most homes and businesses, and life is returning to some semblance of normality. We continue to hear of families that have not received relief. When you see the Gulf coast from the air you observe seas of blue tarps where roofs once were. So many homes are off their foundations or are damaged structurally that it is overwhelming. People are not looking forward to June, the beginning of storm season. The spirit of the folks here continues to amaze me. They continue to give praise and thanks to our Lord God Almighty. There are so many (thousands) who are uninsured or under insured. The Christian Church may well be the only hope they have. Volunteer work will be required for years to come. Please pray for those who live in the Hurricane threatened areas of the world. One volunteer from Bosnia stated; (Bosnia looked better than this area even after the war!)

World Hope International (that I am now represent) is but one of several Christian organizations that is in the Gulf Coast providing relief. Christian revival is sweeping not only this area but also the World! Church's up and down the coast are helping both in a physical, financial and spiritual sense. In order to qualify this statement I will give a couple of God Story's. We had a group from Michigan composed of 18 people sponsored by their employer. Some of them were believers, some not and one whom followed Buddha. After a week of service and sharing together God moments they returned home. Their employer has 126 employees. He called me and tells this story. All 18 came home different people caring, praying, and Christians. They pray together and encourage others to do the same. The follower of Buddha was invited to and excepted a Christian Church and Christ. In a corporate meeting they asked all employees to join hands as we do in Mississippi and pray. The whole of the company did so! The employer tells me all 126 were touched.

We had 2 couples come from New York City so deeply moved that they returned home and challenged their church and inspired 40 people to return with them. Larry said as the God moments were shared with their congregation many were moved to tears. All four are openly sharing their faith with others.

These stories are coming in from every state that has been here. Just a week ago a 17year old from Germany was openly sharing her faith and returns to a family whom has not excepted Christ. She is well equipped and ready to openly share her faith in Europe. You could just see Jesus in her and I am sure this will be a new beginning for a faith movement over seas. Jesus is spoken here and this Little Light of ours burns like a halogen lamp across the USA. Revival is the word, Christ is the provider, to God be the glory!!!!!!!!!!!! The lamp is finally lit and the torch is going door to door, state to state, and now into Germany, Japan, Canada and China. Yes we have had people from all those places some 1700 plus people in total to date.

We now ask these questions at the end of a volunteer week. How has your life been changed? How many by the show of hands have been changed. The answer; we will no longer be silent in our faith! If we were to give a percentage of those not touched it would be less than 1% based on their input. We know from fed back that all go home and touch at least 1 more for Christ and the reality is it could well be many
more.

The same God moments are happening inside this community! People from different origins, faiths, denominations, are becoming one community in Christ! We have had many except Jesus for the first time. If we were to live to a thousand years we could not store up the riches Christ has blessed us with here in the Gulf Coast!
